there will be no more dodgeball in U.S. schools, and in some of them, no more competitive sports. |

If they have special ed for the mind, they may as well have it for the body as well. seriously, teach those nerds how to play (of which I fell into the category of back in the day and would have appreciated) Keeping physically active is a lot more important then most things you'll learn in school when you've got to build and maintain whatever body you got for 80+ years |

I'll agree about the beer part. With one major exception: Sam Adams. Just about everything else made here is diluted piss water.
Dodgeball is like life. So of course most parents here in the US want to shield their children from it. |

I RESENT that. Celine Dion sucks!
Being fit definitely comes before learning things 99% of the population will never learn. (*cough* ancient civilizations *cough*) In my mind, anyway. |

Good point. It's Britney, not Brittany. Brittany is what Britain used to be called. |

Actually, I think Canadians without the French would still be Canadians, just without all the French Candadians running around *trying* to lead our country.
Emphasis on "trying". |

Absolutely. If I were drinking Canada Dry or someting like it, it would've gone up my nose and into the keyboard. Game, set and match. |

We're quite secure in being pussies, what with our GIGANTIC NUCLEAR ARSENAL and VAST ARRAY OF HIPPIE-SEEKING ORDINANCE.
Not to mention our monopoly on chicken-fried steak and gravy. |

Dodgeball is hardly dangerous. I've had one or two whipped at my face and have never so much as had a bloody nose! Then again...we haven't played classic dodgeball since grade 3, but there are the variations.
Splitting atoms is much more dangerous.
If the American gov had control over the world, there would only be one language - American English *shudder*. |

Thanks! I love these threads where foreigners put down the USA. It's great! I especially love when the Canadians, Mexicans, etc - who are also Americans - say all Americans are Shitheads(or Any other explitive of your choice) while try to disassociate Themselves as part of America. Seriously, I love it. It's the greatest thing in the world!
Now, Just for the record, I'm not American...I'm from California.
I also know a secret that you don't know.
Just, in this case, I can't tell you...because it's that much of a secret. Yes, THAT much.
Anyways, I have Stuff to be doing. |

I resent that. Canadians are definitely not American. If we were, I wouldn't be here. I'd be somewhere else (like Cambodia - personal joke). The only reason we're under the American government's influence is because our politicians are too stupid to know how to be independant.
Americans, in my opinion, are something worse than shitheads. I will not say what I'm thinking. I will not... |

For all the U.S. bashing the rest of the world does, you'd imagine American films, televesion, music, fast food, and technology would never be popular or accepted outside of the 50 States. . ..
Yeah, go ahead and say most of it is crap anyways.
But you know you can easily name many that's had very profound influence on you since your birth.
BTW, Rat, he meant you live in North America(in the geographic context).
The English the Canadians speak sound no different than the English we speak. The only time I could tell it's a Canadian speaking is when they say the word "about." You guys say it like "aboat."
This, of course, is excluding the froggies.

I'd rather not live here.
If you're giong to say "America" as in N. America, then clarify it if you don't want me to chew your head off. To me "America" is the States.
The English here and there is different, actually. Canadians don't say "roof" like ruf (the "u" as in "bun"), or "room" the same way. Well, not the ones that've grown up here, anyway.

Wow, no more dodge-ball? That was one of my favorite things to do as a kid. (Throwing things at other kids as hard as I can was one of my favorite things to do that is. )
Anyways......
As far as beer goes. Canadian beer sucks just as much ass as American beer. I only drink European brews for that very reason.
The only thing I like about Canada besides roundeye and Fallen, is the budz. (We still grow better shit in America, but that's beside the point.)
Oh! And maple syrup, that's good shit.
So as an American, I'd like to say thank you Canada. Thank you for the delicious herbs and maple syrup.
Take it easy,
M |

Well, I find it kinda weird for people from a country that's the most similar to the U.S. to say they LOATHE the U.S..
Canada and the U.S. are almost like brothers. I can't think of another country where its citizens can walk around in the U.S. all day and completely blend in like a native.
I haven't been trying to insult anyone. Just pointing out the obvious.
I'm thankful that this country spawned some of the coolest shit our generation cares about. I'm a fan of many foreign things as well, so I'm not some diehard patriot. |
