hrmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm well yes, rather worried about putting my OWN work up here, considering i have seen some damn awesome things up here, and pretty regularly
idea behind it was well .. last man standing, sortof a primus pilus (but obviously not because of the armour), but that level of guy, after a rather hefty battle. but yeah anyway heres the pic

I like this one. It reminds me a lot of the black knight in Monty Python and the Holy Grail. *chuckle*
But on a more serious note:
I agree, there needs to be a bit of more clarification here. Maybe it's because the hilt of the sword lines up a little to much with the edge of his breastplate thingie, it's a bit hard to make out what's what. And I'm not entirely sure what's under his chin.
You did a great job on the armor shine though. I have a really hard time with that kind of stuff. Maybe if you broaden the shoulders a bit it'll give you a bit more room to play with the anatomy.
For figure clarity a good rule of thumb is to take the outline of your figure and black it all in. (Not literally, that would muck up the picture!) But imagine it as such. If you can't tell what it is (arms, legs, head etc) then maybe it needs a bit of reworking.
Obviously this rule doesn't apply to all pictures, but it's a good rule to get you started.
(Psst! I don't always follow this one myself, so no worries. )
Hope that helps!
An' I just looove those horns!

thanks for the crit - the shoulders are actually supposed to be lifted, as i dont think most people would be totally fine with a hacked off limb... which brings me to the limb, well simply put i got lazy and wanted to do the bone on the quick, and decided if someone was going to rip straight through arm i didnt think thered be any bone sticking out... anyone got any ideas on how i can make the bone look more like, well bone.
also as i only draw with pencil+paper it makes some things easier with a comp. tho i am saving for a wacom as i find it near impossible to draw with a mouse.
thanks again for the crit, im thinking about inking it (well outline inking) any thoughts on this ?
