This is a quickie done in Photoshop. I posted it here because I decided it's finished as is. No reference on him.

Really nice. Looks like David Duchovny. It's amazing how you can achieve such realism using such large, loose strokes...

that's gorgeous Greg.
i sat and looked at it, trying to figure out what the heck made it so well done and i discovered what it was (or at least what i was seeing). it's that you accented the perspective with careful value placement. this makes the face so believable because the planes in it are fully realized. too often i flatten the human form with my paint. i'll learn from this, i swear.

Stunning.

It looks like tiny tiles of paint on top of one another. Reminds me of an oil technique I've seen but can't remember where. :/

Dr. Bang, David Duchovny and the guy from the X-files are one and the same.

I love it! It looks like its the most easy thing in the world. So simple but so real.

Very cool. the looseness is great. I just miss a little bit of color variation, I'd like to see a little cold colors.

Anyway, that's a great digital work!

both spooge and pro are gods of art!...

man, i worshipped you guys even before coming to this board!

you guys totaly disproved loomis's motto of not 'faking' figure!

That is one realistic looking imaginary sketch!
