I think shes really cool. The background is totally awesome.

Nice work! Strong colours give a nice twisted mood to the painting. |

her eyes seem a little bulbous from the shading, but that's pretty normal of the renaissance stuff it looks like. pretty sweet concept. |

solarc: thanks. my color sense is probably my weakest point right now, it probably explains the gaudy use of color in my paintings .
max kulich: glad you feel so. all my work is non-digital, which sometimes makes me wonder what i'm doing on this here 'digital art' forum . digital scares me... i hope to put off digital drawing/painting for as long as possible .
gezstar: as it should! i've always loved da vinci's sketches of women w/ downcast eyes. like la scapiliata, the leda sketches, and the sketches and paintings for the virgin on the rocks. i used them for lighting reference but tried to slim down the chubby cheeks to make her a little more cute .
simoom: yes, bulbous eyes are a beautiful thing... ah...
malachi: i thought the painting was a little too green.. but i guess there is a place in art for lime green too. _________________ www.stevekim.net |
