Wow. The market has really done a 180! It's up 1000+ points in less than a week. It say the third largest point gain EVER today after seeing the second largest point gain ever just last week. I find it rather astonishing, actually.
I'm wondering if any of you are invested? If so, have you made any money recently? I actually just bought 3M stock about a week ago, and have seen nearly a 20% gain. I've made about $20,000.00 this past week. Pure profit.
I'm rather excited. I'm gonna buy myself a new car. I apologize for acting like a pompous asshole, but I need to brag somewhere. :/ |

Heh, thanks for the props, guys.
I have sold, actually. Now watch, tomorrow it is gonna go up like 50%
I've got this "too good to be true" feeling, so I figured I'd better follow my instincts instead of my hungry wallet.
I actually won't mind if the stock continues to rise. I can't get greedy. I'm very, very happy.
Free beer for everyone! |

Exactly how much money does one need to invest in a company like 3M to see a $20,000 profit in a weeks time?

Ahem. :/
I invested over $100,000 initially in 3M. That does by no means mean that I have that much money in cash. I just moved money from different areas. I'm not some wealthy bastard, so please don't regard me as one. I've just done my homework and pumped whatever money I CAN make into usually lucrative investments. |

Doh, I knew I'd come off sounding like a pompous asshole.
I'm really not rich. I'm just stupid with my money I have no real sense of responsibility, and I'm sure that'll kill me sooner than it well feed me success. |

with that much money in the stocks wouldn't keeping it for dividends bring about a large profit too? |

Hey people I just earned 40.000 in a week without lifting a finger. But I am not bragging..Nooooh..really By the way I am going to buy a new car...I hope you people don't think I am bragging...Cuz I am not..
I am not rich either. I only have about 100.000 and I even had to move it around to be able to invest it so it's not really mine anyways. Oh wait..thats 140.000 after last week. Oh darn now I sound like a pompous bastard again..I'm sorry..I don't mean to!!.
Well congrats with your money. I hope it makes you happy. |

People call me rich, and yeah I guess I do have a fair amount of money. I've given some of it away. Do I care if people don't like it that I make that statement? Nope! Time to go for a morning drive, just bought pre-owned Viper. American cars aren't my favorite but this one seems to be.. decent. |

Actually I dismissed this thread as being totally uninteresting untill you said this:

Maybe you can understand that some people end up in a fix where they can barely get by with what they earn. (I would be one of those people.)
Usually I am not the jealous type but when someone starts blatantly bragging about how he just had this enormous sum of money cast into his lap and how he really isn't wealthy and on top of that how he has no sense of responsibility it might just anger me enough to get my sarcasm going.
If I hurt your precarious feelings I am sorry. But what did you think you would get? Respect? |

The logical approach to this:
He has money. I don't. Therefor, he must be elimenated.
Rat bugs me enough about my spelling, so you don't too. you can spell, I can't. Therefor you must be eliminated.

If you'll notice, genius, I didn't mention how much I invested in my initial post. I only answered when someone specifically asked that question.
I was looking to see if anyone else has experienced any gains from the market's rebound.
You're obviously a very insecure little man with some confidence issues. |

Tree Merchant..I have a way with words and it is not good. I sometimes come off sounding a lot harsher than intended. It must be the language thing. (According to my wife, who is american, a lot of dutch people have the same problem)
I made a joke..you felt insulted and I should have apologized instead of go into this rant about my personal opinions and top it off with another insult. I know you don't give a shit those things and if I had seriously wanted to make you understand I should have used a friendlier tone. So there..I wasted my time. I will now go and spend my time on more productive things. |
