Mates! Do you have this too lately - the 120-140KB virus mails from addresses that are found on the websites you go to?
I had this crap coming to me before, but now it's rediculous - 5-20 of them in a day!
If someone has info on this (what it is and maybe a way to prevent it) please spill it out for me. |

I was thinking, they should introduce a charge for sending emails (e.g., like text messaging).
Yeah, it would suck.
But the cost might outway the advantages of mass mailing.
ISPs and Nominet could enforce it... somehow.

Although more than half spam mailing programs send to each address seporately
There is actually market out there that specializes in sending huge amounts of mail anonymously, scanning web pages for emails, sorting out valid emails etc. A few times i even got spam mails that were selling 2 million emails on CD! Hehe.
And it said "imagine how much your business will grow after advertising your company to 2 million people for only $29.99" blah..
Also synj, the reason you got that poop coming to your "clean" mails is cause people you emails before had opened this virus and it sends itself out i think not only to people on contact list but also searches in exporer cache.. Cause i got a lot of mails from planetquake, polycount, etc although i never emails them directly. |
