Another picture for my developing children's picture book. I have about 7 more to go... This one shows the cat on the roof in springtime wondering why the clouds don't continue to produce snow.

nice style, but ! imho (very humble) the depth is a bit lacking....overall visually it gives immediate impression that the roof is a paved path in the grass....if it does not violate consistency too much with the other illustrations it might be better to apply a subtle contrast difference between roof/cat and girl/grass.certainly from near-perpendicular viewing angles like this one. _________________ If there is no God, who pops up the next kleenex in the box? |

starglider... I understand your point and had some concern myself... however, looking at the picture here is really out of context. I think when it is seen in the context of the book, it will be totally clear that Bam (the cat's name) is on a roof. Here's the open book context:
The previous page... which sets up the idea of "roof."
...and this page:

I like the feeling, I love the mood and the humour and really enjoyed the book btw :))
but.. are you sure you will keep that font for the text ? It seems so strict :/ I would have seen a Splurge or something like that... _________________ Tekeli-li = / = Deviant |

Yeah... I'm definitely looking for another font... Just haven't spent much time on it as yet... _________________ HonePie.com
