Hello everyone -
I've stopped by this forum a bit over the last year, the stuff here is fantastic! I'm a graphic design student so my usual work doesn't really fit in here, but I recently did this pic as a pilot for some work on a game mod me and some friends are doing. It'll most likely end up in the finished product too, so I'm looking for some advice.
This is the first time I've tried doing an image like this, so tear it apart but please be constructive

Howdy!
I like it a lot, I can see a good sense of lighting here. Could you maybe post a slightly smaller image next time, please?  How exactly was this image made?

Merystic - Thanks!! Sorry about the size, but I wanted to show off the detail. I'm on a 56k modem so I know how it feels =D I did the image in PS7 and Illustrator 10. I Don't have access to a scanner at home and this image was kinda done on the fly, so I just laid down some illustrator line art then decided it would look good painted - I'm planning on doing something more premeditated next =P
Soak - Backgrounds mine aswell, although there's a few clouds I took from photographs in there.
Toss - Welsh flag? =) It's an icon we're using for one of the characters in the mod, I'll have to ask my mate about that, he's scottish.
Frode - And ancient mac FPS called Marathon. Yes, I'm terminally old school and so is my computer =D |
