That's really cool. One question...how did the set of tires go UP that see saw ramp? Did I miss something? _________________ Put a muzzle on her Turkish, before she gets bit. You don't wanna get bit, do you boy? |

shawnhud: the tires were weighted using more components from the car, nuts, bolts, etc. |

Sorry to ruin it for you all, but I now know that it wasn't totally real..
It's in two halves. They couldn't fit the whole set-up in their studio at once. They recorded the first half, and then when the oval cross-section exhaust rolls along in its cool way, that bit's CG, and links the first and second halves of recording. ruined now, innit..
well, not totally... sorry..

I'm pretty sure there's no "CG" in it. I know Barnsley from the Mill went on to do VFX supervision for the shoot, but there's no "CG" in it. He might have done some compositing though. _________________ http://www.somniostudios.com |

That URL says:
Quote: |
The full advert is divided in two - because the studio couldn't fit in all the kit at once.
Just one second of computer generation is used to link the two halves - when an exhaust pipe rolls across the floor. |
But I have no way of knowing if it's true I guess.
I hope it's not true
Yeah, I mean that quote may just be innacturate, but as far as I'm concerned, well, compositing can be used to distort the truth as much as any other computer aided technique.. like actual computer generated graphics or whatever. |
