I like the values! Great concepts!
The only thing is: you can always tell from the faces that it's painted by you.
The last one is stunning! It reminds me of Craig's tank image (the one with the video) _________________ http://www.conceptworld.org |

nice! i like the closeup of the soldiers, altough the expression on their faces could be stronger/angrier.
This may not be the right place to ask this, but being you're also from holland(i also live near the hague), are you employed as a painter? i'm currently looking for a job in painting, drawing whatever, but can't find anything that even come near. i'm also very doubtful about my ability but thats another chapter.
nice work, keep it up! |

These r awesome. If u really want a crit, (this is nitpicking) i would say that on the second to last one the second guy's face looks kinda wierd, but i cant put my finger on what it is exactly. And these guys look way too advanced (the armor) for WWII! But tha's just nitpickin. Nice work
heh i like that teddy bear in the fourth one.
EDIT/ hey when i typed this i was going to be the first post here! Then all of a sudden there are three! I guess i shouldnt leave my comp while im writing a post. _________________ -Chase

omg we're both in the wrong country! wish i lived in the US. but fear not, i've never worked as a designer/artist yet, and never been to art school, so not very reliable as a source.
which school are you going to? i really want to go to an art school next year. i only need to pick the right one, and i'm off. i'm thinking about the Willem de Kooning academie in Rotterdam but i wasn't impressed by the two expositions i've seen. too much modern art and too little real freehand drawing. |

The one with the two solders scouting those trucks in the distance kicks ass.
My only suggestion would be for you to work from ref more until you get your faces and anatomy more perfected. Other than that, great sense of movement in all of these...
Good stuff

Hey Bang! I love the second image! The angle and energy in the pic is perfect, you really captured the feeling of being there deep inside the trenches.
My crits are the same as everyone else, the faces could do with some work. Also, on the last image, the values seem a bit off. I'm not sure what is being blown up, but if it's just an artillery shell hitting the ground, wouldn't the dust the flies up have some sort of transparency to it rather than being pitch black? Even if it wasn't transparent, the local value of earth colour isn't toally black (depending on the soil). Geez, I sound like an anal bastard. I'm probably wrong, so feel free to correct me. Anyway, I think the 4th image is really great too in that it feels very dramatic! post more! |

CW: You're sooooo right about that!! I need more pratice on faces. And you CAUGHT ME on those guys costume and weapons, these are supposed tobe futuristic but with a WWII theme. HAHAHAHA you got me.
Thanks for noticing the teddy bear too! I got ALOT of response, and no one seem to notice it. You've got EXELLENT EYE FOR DETAILS. Should be a murder detective!
Pete: Thanks you for enjoying them man!! Speaking of ass, i want yours.
Noxi: Thanks for the great compliment man, i'm flattered.
Probustion: HIiiiii again!!!! I'm about to go to Willem De Kooning academie like you said, i chose it because i've seen some of the art and it seems more realistic and better than other school that i went. Plus, i chose it because its the only illustration school in Nederlands that is convinience for me to travel. Others are up Amsterdam or Utrect, horrible! But i agree with your view on the art school galleries, i have the same feeling, but the good thing is that, they don't force you to do it.
Good luck with looking for school man, if you need any help PM me.
ScabuX: They DOOOO really look like them!!!!! Its because of their helmet, they're almost identicle to the german one. Saving Private Ryan you mean?
Frost: Hey baby! happy birthday again man! how did you enjoy that site i sent you? Thanks!!!!
Capt. Fred: WWOooh! Glad you liked that one cause i put alot of thought into it to capture my emotion at the time. Thank you
Malachi: Hey again man! You're always there for me every post i make. Thank you so much man! THanks too for appreciate that scout picture, i tried something different, hopeing people liked it and it works!! Thanks for the advice, i'm aware of that but im damn lazy, but its summer now so i think i'll do it.
JasonN: Heyyyyy agin!!!! <3 Thank you for enjoying that picture! You are the ONLY person who seem understand the feeling i was trying to capture. Awwwesome!!! You're right about the thing one the last image, technically , its wrong but sometimes i've gotta exaggerate things!!!
