Hiya, sorry to shout, just wanted to grab your attention

, new pic me and bro have collaborated on, pretty much done apart from it need's more lighting on bits. Was thinking maybe it could do with more character's in it, like on the building to the right, maybe silouetted figures shooting up the ship's, or maybe some burning cyborg's n sheet... or maybe something completely different like mary poppins flying thru the sky, or maybe not...
let us know what u think please!

I would have to say this is very nice, although a bit dark in spots. Took me a while to make out that skeletal figure. Also, the girl lacks action, she looks like a manequin firing a large rifle. I do like the darkness of everything and the color scheme as well, and the composition is very nice. Keep up the good work there

Thanks, glad you liked the pic overall and let us know what you thought was wrong with it. Cos originally sketched her just standing in water, aiming a pistol. I took the sketch, painted her up, but I decided not to alter the pose from how it was originally drawn, otherwise there woulda been hell to pay <:O heh, heh, but I did change the gun to more of a lasergun, added another one strapped to her, and also a mask.... Cos thought of using a section a newer piece he made, a kind of crazy mechanical structure of some sort, and
I distorted and cloned and changed that into a kind of alien landscape for the female character...... then added laser streams
going for the ships in the background and also the metal skull which was one I was doing for another pic. It's kinda hard to say exactly how long it took, cause it was worked on very on and off...... I mean the gal was painted up maybe 6 months ago and totally forgotten about.

Well, it's obvious you can do very good shading, and the lighting is good, too, but it gets a bit muddled. I think the effect of depth could be enhanced if some detail was lost on the objects in the distance. If you keep the same level of detail and luminosity throughout the entire pic, the eye gets a bit confused and doesn't quite know where to focus.

Don't get me wrong, though, I love the realism you've gotten into the pic. great work! Just out of interest, how long have you two been working on this?

A bit too dark to be able to see the detail in the lower left corner of the pic.
But the main thing that bugs me is there is no kickback from the gun whatsoever, plus the girl is only useing one hand. (It just dosent look right with her standing there with both feet together). I would have the large gun in her left hand just hanging from her sholder and have her holding the blaster with both hands. Also, she should be standing in more of a gun fireing stance with her hair flowing backwards from the heat radiation of her gun to make it look even more intence.
