Honestly? Sound just another cookie cutter hollywood "action" type movie.
Seems boring and overrated.
I hope it prooves me wrong. |

I'm a big PKD fan, so my concerns are more with the integrity of the story. _________________ - Tom Carter

I know that Sijun's own Pat is working on it. Maybe he'll chime in. _________________ brian.prince|light.comp.paint |

It's one of Dick's best works, so this should be strong in the story department. I'm not sure why they thought it needed this rotoscoped animation style though. _________________ Art Links Archive -- Artists and Tutorials |

I have to ask the same thing. Watching the clip I found the rotoscoping a bit distracting; it has the potential to detract from the story.
"Oooo, pretty . . . what's this about again?"
Pat is working on it? Very cool - good on him! Howzaboutcha, Pat? Got anything to say or does the NDA have you bound? _________________ - Tom Carter

not rotoscoped surely, it just looks like a vector tracing from something like flash or adobe streamline, but probably using something else |

Kind of looks like they just ran the whole movie through Adobe After Effects with the Cutout filter.
Looks cool, though. I love Richard Linklater, though I despise Keanu Reeves. _________________ QED, sort of. |

Yarik: That's cause it's the same guy.
If you wanna know the technique just watch the making of "Waking Life" or look it up. same thing.[/b] |

fantastic, thanks for posting this.
I'm a Dickhead too. Though after seeing Paycheck, I can't work up any interest in films bearing his name.
Although Haruki Murakami is my current favourite.
And William Gibson my largest disappointment.

I have to agree with you there, Captain. Paycheck was a bit too . . . polished. I think it was true to the concept behind the story (although not entirely true to the story itself), but maybe too slick.
Blade Runner (Do Android's Dream of Electric Sheep) is one of my favorite films - hands down - but mainly because of Ridley Scott's style in cinematography. The movie is brilliant cinema, imho. _________________ - Tom Carter
