Ok, I'm reading tons of posts about 'Wacom', and I'm assuming its a damn good tablet. I've never used one, and I currently have a 'Calcomp Drawing Slate II'. The light pen is all plastic, including the tip, and sometimes it feels a lil too wiggly, if you know what I mean. I'm wondering if anyone's had any experience with both 'Calcomp' tablets and 'Wacom's'. If so should I ditch my 'Calcomp' and get an Intuos? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Xcal, Wacom tablets have 'plastic' tips, not metal.
As long as your tablet is stable, fast, and has pressure sensitivity, you shouldn't have to look for a new one. It just depends if YOU are comfortable with it.

i dont have any experience of any tablet
but, iv heard the Calcomp Drawingboard III kicks ass, and its kinda cheap too for being a 12x12 tablet.
but if you feel that, the plastic pen bothers you in your work, then you should consider getting a Intuos, or a DBIII, doesnt really matter, prices maybe. |

i have a calcomp ultra slate.. to me.. its good enough.. right now.. i havent got the chance to use a wacom.. but i think its twice as good.. in terms of pressure-sensitivity, compared to a calcomp.. my calcomp is getting dusty now.. havent used it for quite a while..

I have a Calcomp DrawingSlate II. I think it sucks a bit. Its wiggly.
I use it in Photoshop, but I always end using the mouse for 'pixel-by-pixel' painting.
Maybe im just bad at using it?!

Hi! I have a Wacom Graphire, the USB version, it's great for use with photoshop, but it's doesn't work with game such as QuakeIIIArena. How come?
