Here is.. the new song i started today! I just played one short sample sound and imagined THIS!
Skidrow Soundwerks: Dumpster Moving!
Used my nice mic (some of you seen it) to record a short tune, but i had to whisper because my parents don't like when i scream!!! Yes it's very short.. but i crammed a whole lotta excitement into that one
I noticed that in music is like in drawing.. one may use a HUGE canvas to draw nothing special.. but other can use 32x32 to make an icon worth 100 of those HUGE nothings!
So here, listen to it, dance to it, and move your Dumpster outta my way dammit! It's my spot near all dem firebarrels. You don't touch
shadow: change your sig dammit, HEHE
hamster: shutup, i dont need buzz skillz to get on TRL! I KNOW YOUW WANAN B EON TRsL!! HAHAHAHAHHA!!!! me first

damn I could swear I know a song that has the same beat but I don't remember it.. my brains like a barrel with fist sized holes in it.
This does not mean anything however, just reminded me of that particular song.
Doesnt it happen to you music writing guys out there all the time that you write something, youre proud of it and five days later you hear a song in the radio that has a part that sounds just like the one you just wrote?
Happens to me all the time.. and I hate it!
---
how about a small cooperative song again guys?

YOU CALLING ME A STEALRER!! EHHEHEHE
No actially i myself thought it was SIMILAR to Jamiroquai style.. but only style, and remotely similar! (funk groove type). Never heard any song with this tune. In fact it came in my mind when i played this instrument sample you hear in the song.. It all built up in my mind (as i said).

What do you do when you're really bored?
well hitting random things around your table of course.. like a pringles package or a drinking glass. and if you are really really really bored you even make weird chanting sounds to that and record it.. enjoy
http://www.redrival.com/nex/bored.mp3
I have to find me something serious to do now before they take me to the asylum.
"First he started hitting things and chanting strange mantras and then he just took this chainsaw over there and... oh my god - he was so normal before.."
P.S. didnt wanna open another thread for that.. don't want to bother non-music guys and gals with that crap

I have nothing to do with it! HEHEHE
That's nice, but i've been baking myself too.. Hear the Sandman_try2.mp3 now! weee..
Vocals? MANY!
Right now i'm trying to sing Jamiroquai - Virtual Insanity right, but he's too quick and rhythms are odd, and by the time i got used to it my lips tired
Tomorrow..
PS: send that song to SYNJ He's just in need of songs like this.. tak tararak, tak tararak - trrrrrakk.. POOOOOO!

hehe Shizo.. i was prepared to hear Jamiroquai but then Metallica suddenly entered the stage.
you gotta scream more.. makes it more "Metal"
I don't think synj would be very happy about me sending him my crap up there, but thanks for the suggestion anyway hehe.
btw: is there a cool (mod/buzz/whatever) music forum somewhere? would be great.

Ok ok hehehe i forget to say that i was baking JAMIROQUAI song, but METALLICA is what i already cooked up =]
I'll record Jay Kay today after school hehe.. somehow when i sing it sounds cool you know, and when i play my voice recording it sounds like lil midget is singing!!! BARHHHHGG... you right, i gotta scream more :)
But ptolly not in jamiroquai. Ther ei should be like a WahWah guitar lol
I got no forums, but i have links to cool places that i collected over time:
Samples: http://www.16bitsamples.com/ http://samples.pagina.nl/
Resources: http://www.djthunder2000.com/machine.htm http://www.musicstuff.de/ http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/ http://web.iol.cz/mpc/sa/sites.htm
PS: so do i have any hope for singing Nex? I really want to sing something.. maybe if i put a lot of echo and reverb effects over it,, it could sound better? hehe

thanks for the links.. maybe we should make a forum for all this stuff, would be fun (maybe an ezboard or something).
I'd guess your voice would fit great to punk music because you have this habit of singing through the nose a bit, thats what punk singers do often.
If you wanna sing metallica you gotta get more deep frequencies in your voice (don't ask me how.. drinking vodka and smoking cigars should help however ) maybe slap a 2p-filter with lowpass in there and see how it sounds. also taking back a few mids from the vocals (i.e. 600kHz ~30db 1-3kHz ~10db 6kHz ~20db) may help.
but who am i to give singing tips hehe.. I can play a bit bass but thats it. |

Singing is for pussies. Its all about those blood-curdling abrasive shrieks.
*clears throat*
AAAAAAAWRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGHHHHHHH!!!!
*spits*
The idea is you form the beginning with your whole mouth, but let the sound come from the very top of your throat, just behind your mouth. Then you just omit the last whats it called (not an o or e but a t or r) from the words.
Youll sound like a stark ravi...uuhhh.. great metal vocalist in no time |

More shizo singing around.. This time it's
Shizzoroquai - Virtual Insanity
hehe, you might wanna turn down the BASS a bit.. i overused some filters in CoolEdit :p
And i know there are some plain and false moments in there, and try to listen to MY voice rather than Jay Kay's :)
I know its hard.. hehe

Shizziroquai is striking again
Is that reverb effect from cooledit?
I'd rather use a VST plugin with hall and not reverb. This reverb there makes it sound like you recorded this in a small room, the playback however sounds "wider" like its recorded in a bigger room or hall.
If you can change the reverb time try to make it longer and see if it sounds a bit more like on the recording then..
You're hitting the right keys mostly so maybe just keep working on your sound a bit more...
Gotta work on those Spitfireish Grindcore Screams now "Bwaaaaaaaaaaaarggghhhh!!"
Cya guys in a week or so, gotta go to hospital tomorrow.
