I have had it with dream weaver. Ultra frustration. Why the heck won't it show the back ground images in cells outside of the program. This blows. I even just figured out how to make seamless backgrounds in PS. So you can imagine my utter disapoinment when It wouldn't work outside of dream weaver. Anyone know what up?

Yeah. Dreamcleaver only puts bgtags in the TR, you need to manually copy one to the table properties as well.
Even when using editors, it doesnt hurt to know HTML, my friend. |

Yah I'm a dumb ass, I figged it out. But I still got a prob with margins. It don't matter what the hell you have in the html, I CAN'T get rid of the margins on the left and top of ALL documents made in dream weaver. THats it.
Oh yah, I know. Im not totally pathetic in HTML...I mean, compared to all the retards in my web paging class im a god. (ha ha theres a thought...) but still. Im plumb stuck on this margin thing. >hurumph< S.O.S anyone?

Hmmm... but this doesn't affect my Java Script windows? I made one and when you click on the thumbnail and the new image pops up, there is still a margin on the left and top of the image! >Grrrr....< ideas?

Have you thought about defining the size of the window you want to open? |

The Margins didn't even come out right when I used this much simpiler code that was given to me by someone here...
<SCRIPT LANGUAGE=JAVASCRIPT
TYPE="TEXT/JAVASCRIPT">
function newWindow() {
window.open('URL here' , 'name', 'width=x, height=y)
}
</SCRIPT>
And then call the function when you need it, ex:
<A HREF = "javascript:newWindow()">
Link Name</A>
>shrugs loudly< |

I just use this code:
<a href="javascript:new_win('link','x','y');">link name</a>
It's basically the same, but allows you to have multiple sizes of windows, and might fix your problem.

Hm, well, I have no clue...works for me. Although I did use some PHP on the page also, so that could be it.
[NOTE: and I did it with HTML pages too, not images]

I don't know, I probably gave you a script that doesn't work. My entire URL looks like this:
<a href="javascript:new_win('http://www.url.com/screenshot.php?screen=_screens/00007.jpg&caption=A machine gunner holds his weapon.','700','700');"><img src="_small/00007s.jpg" border="1"></a>
I had to erase the URL because it's part of a secret project we haven't announced yet (ooh secret) but as you can see, it has some URL encoding for PHP in there...so I probably didn't give you a good general, Javascript way to do it.

Oh, cool, it works.
Yeah, we don't have to do HTML files for all the pics cause we wrote a PHP script to do it automatically. |

Well, you can't use it on a free server...you'd need to get your own host first. |

Er, no, not a dedicated server...like a pay host...usually runs $15-20 a month though.
You are thinking of dedicated servers, which run about $300 a month (and we've got one, but you don't need one)
You'd just have to look for a host that's cheap and offers PHP. Otherwise, you'll be doing things the way you are doing them now. |
