My second pic post...unfortunately not much better than the first. I did this one late last night so there's a bunch of mistakes I'm
sure But feel free to give me hell anyway
My subject is Manji from Blade of the Immortal...supposedly standing on a cliff rock thingy looking down...too bad putting people into perspective is my major weak point--so if u got any tips

That's great Dino! I like it!
My only crits are that he really doesn't seem to look down like you already pointed, and that his left hand looks too much "twisted" (sorry about my english). btw, I love the clothes.
Any plans on coloring it?

Very nice drawing.
The only thing I see that bothers me is his left hand, which is too ambiguous.
Other than that, I don't see anything wrong. Good job.

Thanx for the kind words and encouragement Grendel Kahn and Mozeman: I totally see your point(s) about the left hand...looks hyper-extended...and on second inspection of the pic I noticed the rocky cliff thing doesn't look natural. I'm in serious need of some pratice.
Oh and I guess since he's already in the cpu I'll definately colour him seeing as how I could use some more practice in that area as well |

I agree with Joachim and the others..though his chest and abs look..well..REALLY defined..and sort of like some sort of hard chitinous shell..instead of some ripped abs. I'd either tone them down a bit..or perhaps my opinion will change after it is colored. Looks tood efined there. Otherwise, nice work!

I like this pic. The pose is good and I know you said that he's looking down but the way he's looking out to the horizon looks just as good.
I agree with Worthy that the torso does look too defined, it appears that he's wearing sculpted body armour.
If you decide to colour this I'd like to see the final piece.
Nice work. |
