I've got a USB Graphire tablet for PC, and I've noticed that even if I move the pen off of the square border printed on the tablet I'm still able to get the system to detect vertical/horizontal motion. The only thing is that there's motion restraint depending on which edge of the drawing area I'm on.

I'm wondering if this is just something Wacom does to limit their tablet's abilities and get you to buy bigger tablets... if it is, has anyone written a software tweak to access that extra half inch around the border?
